Join the creator of Fly Fusion herself for an intensive-style performance building experience! Flyers are expected to be very comfortable with leading and following Phase 1 & 2 vocabulary (and there will be opportunities for Expansion and Pillars shenanigans, too). Learn dynamic performance building and put it on the stage at the Saturday night show! This will be an intimate experience since stage size is limited.

Suniva Sol was the first person aside from Violet to teach the Fly Fusion format. She attended the first-ever Fly classes and has been in countless performances with Violet and the crew. Join her for an exciting mixed level performance intensive on Friday evening for the Saturday showcase! Experience required: Dancers should be comfortable with leading and following the Phase 1 Fly vocabulary. This will be an intimate experience since stage size is limited.

So that we can use it all weekend, we are kicking off the main portion of the weekend by revealing the final move of the standard Fly Fusion vocabulary! At Fly Fest! You heard that right ;)  After 10 years of developing the format and phases, this is the final piece of the puzzle. And I bet you can even guess what it’s called! And to be clear, this is the final move of the *standard* vocabulary. There are more Pillar moves to come, and there are some off-the-menu delights you might meet at some point ;)

What better way to get to know the community IRL than by pairing up on the first day of the festival?! In this workshop, we'll cover some Fly Duet Variations, including a brand new one! We'll also cover a few techniques to consider for the individual combos so you can make them look shinier than ever!

In this unique workshop, Violet will be sharing the story of how Fly came to be what it is now! She will be sharing some old video clips (some extra cringey) and lots of shenanigans. This is the final workshop on Saturday, so we encourage those who are performing in the Saturday night showcase to bring their makeup along and get ready with the other dancers during this chill-on-the-floor workshop!

You may have heard rumors; let's see if they're true! These combos aren't in the online studio, and they aren't part of the official standard Fly vocab. This is a quintessential Fly Fusion hometown experience! This workshop will be pure shenanigans, as we hope you'd expect. And it's Sunday morning of the festival; may your coffee be strong and your second brain—aka notebook—be ready.

Fly Fusion teachers from around the world can apply to share their own Fly concepts and discoveries! Students will spend 15 minutes with each teacher and come home with a new treasure box of Fly concepts to explore. Applications can be found here and are due on Tuesday, June 13th! We are SO excited to see what you have to share!

To close out the main festival, we'll celebrate with all kinds of Fly! Take the lead or stick to following... choose your own adventure! Taking nothing too seriously, this is a great time to pull out all of the things you've learned over the weekend or wanted to try in a large group! And if you're too wiped out at this point in the weekend, sit back and watch :)
